Our 5 favourite 18th birthday party ideas

What better occasion to try something wacky than for their 18th birthday party? We’ve clubbed together some of our most adventurous and inspiring 18th birthday party ideas so you can spoil your teenager rotten.

Time for tea

To appeal to the sophisticated teenager: an afternoon tea party is elegant, fun and naturally involves cake. With so many themes to choose from: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, vintage and even Mad Hatter’s included, you can even book onto an extra special event, and opt for a glass of bubbly to help the sandwiches go down nicely.

Assault on the senses

Book your teen in for a watery assault course party, Total Wipeout-style, where they will be able to compete against their friends to be crowned king or queen for the day. If you think they’d enjoy the challenge of grappling with spinning balls, swinging across monkey bars, balancing their way across beams and scaling climbing walls in an effort to avoid falling into the water, we recommend you take the party here.

Let’s bounce

“Let’s get this party jumping,” or so go the lyrics to some song or other go (we imagine) . And so it will when you all head over to the nearest trampoline park where you’ll be met with wall to wall trampolines, and angled trampolines to avoid any painful wall crashes.

The ice factor

If the concerned birthday girl or boy is a winter baby, this could work better than trying to organise something in the summer, although, having said that, there are plenty of indoors arenas. If you want to create the winter wonderland feeling though, there’s nothing better than skating on an outdoor rink around a Christmas tree, with a cup of mulled wine to warm up at the end.

Prepare for combat

Do battle against your friends either in a team or in an ‘every man for himself’ situation in a laser tag gaming arena. If your teenager likes gaming consoles then they’ll have a whale of time here. Donned out in a laser vest and armed with a phaser, the aim is to hit as many members of the other team as they can, and it’s all without any pain, unlike paintballing.

Now we’re wishing we were turning 18 again! If you would like to chat to us about throwing an 18th birthday party in one of our stunning inflatable igloos, at a venue that suits you, then get in touch with a member of the team who will be happy to give you a quote.
